Marley crossflow cooling towers are uniquely capable of operating in cold weather with reduced flow rates, often as low as 30% of design flow. This is possible due to Marley’s Variflow Nozzle Cups, which can be factory or field configured for your low flow condition. The cups allow the tower to maintain uniform water distribution across the fill pack at reduced basin loading, and minimize risk of freezing. Cups can be added or removed in the field with standard tools and provide an industry-exclusive benefit to customers, allowing tower low-flow modification without a major nozzle overhaul.
